The only rule changes for the 2022 season come in our Stock Mudboss (12T Mudboss) class. The changes were made to align our rules with regional and national rules in a class that continues to grow in popularity around the country. These small adjustments will allow more people from any where in the country to enjoy our facility along with the wonderful atmosphere and fun competition that our racers bring to our program every weekend. A summary of the Stock Mudboss spec changes are listed below:
Body: Legal bodies: Salvas Mudboss body, Salvas Clone, or J-Body Stock Mudboss, No modifications to the stock bodies allowed.
*The old rule was complicated with various measurements. This change standardizes the body and makes them easier to tech.
Battery: Any 2-cell 7.4v LiPo hard-case battery with a maximum of 5200mah and 50c, with external plug only (no “bullet type” connector)
*The old rule limited racers to specific batteries. This allows for more choices, more availability, and new batteries entering the market.
Springs: Original Rear (TRAXXAS 5858) and Front springs (TRAXXAS 5857) (no LCG kit springs or aftermarket springs)
Front springs may be cut in order to shorten them (no more than 5 round removed on ONE end) Rear Springs must remain unaltered.
*The old rule allowed for any Traxxas Slash-style spring.
Tires: Any original Traxxas slash rubber tire/wheel/inserts (BFG/KUMHO/SPEC) any wheel combination of the SAME TIRE TYPE (ie..4 fronts, 4 rears, 3 front 1 rear…) Duratrax Bandito, Proline Hoosiers or any other tires not listed above are not allowed.
*The old rule allowed Bandito tires and after market wheels. This change eliminates the “perceived” advantage our local racers would have on Banditos and after market wheels. We suggest that Stock Mudboss racers use Bandito tires and after market wheels on their 13.5 Mudboss or sell them to a 13.5 Mudboss racer.
