Given the current COVID-19 outbreak and guidelines, we are all in uncharted territory. There are a lot of uncertainties in the coming weeks especially for small businesses and large group functions. Rest assured, that Staub Brothers’ RC Speedway will act in the most prudent manner to protect the health and well being of our employees, family, and you, the customers. We will follow state and national guidelines to do our part to protect our community. We have faced many challenges in the past and have become a stronger and better community because of them.
We are currently in full preparation mode in getting ready for the 2020 racing season, our 30th season serving the RC dirt oval enthusiast. We plan to have our facility ready for the May 2 season opener. Currently, our season schedule remains unchanged. Please keep checking our website and Facebook for the latest updates.
These are difficult times for our communities and especially small businesses hit with the unfortunate, yet necessary, restrictions. All RC dirt oval manufacturers, hobby shops, and tracks are small businesses. We know our racers will do their best to support the RC dirt oval industry this summer despite hardships. With difficult times ahead for many businesses, we will not seek any additional sponsors for our points series nor the Northeast Summer Championships. We still plan to hand out plaques and trophies for points series and big events. We just do not feel right asking hard-hit companies for donations this season. We hope you would agree that RC racing is not about the prizes and the big trophies–especially this season. It’s about sharing this great hobby with our friends. It’s about the thrill of competition. It’s about having local tracks to race at and supporting the RC brands we love. It’s about getting back to a healthy normal and that definitely includes RC racing!
This summer, we will put this Coronavirus stuff behind us and have fun racing our RC cars, spending quality time with our friends and growing the hobby we love. See you at the track!
