13.5 Mudboss

Body

Salvas Mudboss or undetectable copy – no modifications of any kind

Chassis

  • TRAXXAS 2wd (SLASH or RAPTOR) chassis only
  • Original MFG chassis parts only, no aftermarket hop-ups, no optional aluminium parts
  • Front bumper, right side bumper and front body post brace must be removed
  • Left side and rear bumpers can also be removed (if desired) **rear RPM bumper is allowed
  • TRAXXAS front optional bumper (TRA2735) can be used (angled down)
  • Major alterations to the chassis or modification to drivetrain/suspension components is not allowed
  • TRAXXAS Low CG chassis is allowed
  • Electronics (rx/esc/amb) must be installed within chassis surface (no outside installation)
  • Battery brace can be trimmed to allow different LiPo battery wire configuration

Suspension

  • Front springs may be cut in order to shorten them (no more than 5 round removed)  
  • The hard anodized teflon coated shocks and aluminum shock caps (any color) are allowed.
  • Different weight shock oil may be used as well as internal shock limiters to adjust ride height and droop. NO limiting upward travel.
  • The shock’s travel may be shortened with internal shims (ie..fuel tube or solid shims…)
  • Original shafts in original cylinder (length and type in proper cylinder)
  • Original pistons from kit only (original 1,2 or 3 hole), no modifications can be made to them
  • No front bump stop suspension, a single original blue bump stop can be used per rear shock (not mandatory)
  • No shimming allowed (to reduce slop in suspension parts)
  • All suspension parts must remain in original positions it was designed for
  • rear camber links must remain in original height position (upper hole on shock tower not allowed)

Legal Tuning Parts

  • Any color Traxxas Slash aluminum steering bell cranks (#3743), caster blocks (#3632), steering blocks (#3636), camber links, and rear axle carriers (#3652) are allowed.
  • RPM rear carriers (#80382), front steering blocks (#80372), caster blocks (#80712), front (#80952, #80953, #80955) & rear (#81002, #81003, #81005) bumpers, and suspension arms rear(#80592, #80594, #80595) & front(#80242, #80244, #80245) will be allowed.
  • The “hoop” and “ears” on the front bumper may be cut off, however, the main area of the bumper must remain intact.
  • Transmitter/Receiver and servo may be replaced. (Servo saver will also not be a tech item)
  • The hard anodized teflon coated shocks and aluminum shock caps (any color) are allowed.
  • 2-stage pistons or any modification to the shock to tune the compression and rebound separately will not be allowed.
  • No modifications can be made to the transmission’s case (ie.. to allow a bigger gear ratio)
  • The only adjustments allowed to the car are those allowed by the original MFG components of the car
  • You are allowed to use any original wheel spacer combination (Black, Grey or any combination of both)
  • Transmission functionality rule (motor can not spin while turning slowly one rear wheel a full turn)
  • Traxxas SLASH *STEEL* transmission gears only (internal plastic transmission gears not allowed)
  • Servo may be replaced. (Servo saver will also not be a tech item

Electronics

  • ROAR legal 13.5 sensored brushless motor (Modified/13.5 Spec) Approval date is set to April 1st prior to the start of the season.
  • Any ROAR ESC in BLINKY Mode or SPEC ESC. No timing or boosting allowed.
  • All electronics must be ROAR approved by April 1st or will not be eligible to run that winter season. – please see above.
  • No additional devices will be allowed connected to a car’s ESC other than a cooling fan during a qualifier or main.

Battery

  • Any 2-Cell 7.4v LiPo battery hard case (ROAR approved)
  • Battery must be mounted in the stock center tray location, but can be moved forward or back as long as it stays within the stock boundaries of the battery tray.

Tires

  • Duratrax Bandito (DTXC3800 or DTXC3801) tires.  
  • Proline Hoosier G60 SC (PRO10153) tires. Any compound.
  • Proline Hot Laps MC (PRO1023117) tires
  • JConcepts Swiper (JCO404301 or JC0404303) tires. Blue and Aqua compounds
  • DE G6T SC Oval Tires. Clay, D30, & D40 compounds
  • No foam tires.
  • Tire traction additives are legal. All tires must be wiped clean of any traction compound before setting the vehicle down on the track. Tires will not be allowed to leave tracks on the racing surface. One warning will be issued before disqualification for the day.
